Good afternoon colleges,

Michael Betten. MS, CPP will be presenting “Residential Security; How private security and law enforcement are offering a false sense of security” on June 20, 2018 will be held at City Utilities Training Center, Earl L. Barkley Auditorium from 12p-1p.  Attached is a flier and Newsletter article.  There will not be a normal meeting attached to this event and food will not be provided.

We will not meet in July.

Michael Bentten’s Bio:

Michael Betten, MS, CPP retired from the Overland Park (KS) Police Department after 25 years of service and serves as the director of security for a prominent research facility in Kansas City, MO. Betten currently serves as ASIS International’s 3A Regional Vice President. He has a Masters in Security Management through Bellevue University (NE). He assisted two American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) subcommittees in the development of test methods for security glazing materials. He continues assist law enforcement agencies and private organization develop residential security strategies for their organizations and communities. Betten drafted and implemented into law the most comprehensive residential security building ordinance in the country.
